dpA statewide search is underway for a man who shot three of his coworkers at a business in Manassas, Virginia, early Wednesday morning, police say.
Marvin Grant, 37, shot the three men at United Rentals on Wellington Road about 7 a.m. before fleeing the area, Manassas City Police Chief Douglas Keen said.
The victims are all in critical condition at a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said.
Grant might be driving a gray Toyota Camry or Toyota Corolla that has temporary North Carolina tags, Keen said. Police described him as a light-skinned Black man who is about 5’9” with brown eyes and brown hair.

Investigators believe Grant has left the Northern Virginia area and they have put out a lookout for him to police agencies throughout the state, Keen said.
“We know he’s fled the area. We don’t know where he’s headed to,” Keen said.
Police said anyone who sees Grant should not approach him and call 911 immediately.

“Our working theory is that there was some kind of altercation that led to this,” Keen said.
Police told people to avoid the area and stay indoors as officers investigate. Officers blocked off access to Wellington Road and the Route 28 Bypass as they searched the area.
Students at nearby Jennie Dean Elementary School were redirected to Metz Middle School.
