Police say they responded to a person shot call around 5:37 p.m. near the intersection of Delaware and Glenwood Avenues where they found multiple victims.
TOLEDO, Ohio — Multiple people were shot on Saturday evening at the Old West End Festival in Toledo, according to Toledo police.
Police say they responded to reports of a person shot around 5:37 p.m. near the intersection of Delaware and Glenwood Avenues.
Upon arrival, police say they found multiple shooting victims.
Police say they are continuing to search for any suspects involved in the shooting.
Multiple victims were transported to the hospital for treatment.
The severity of any injuries is unknown at this time as is the ages or identities of any victims.
Residents and visitors are being asked to avoid the area and expect a large police presence as they search for the suspect and investigate the scene.
Police closed down Detroit Avenue near West Delaware Avenue around 5:45 p.m.
Witnesses at the festival say they heard multiple gunshots and saw people running from that area.
A vendor from Detroit who was here for the festival says they saw “three people on the ground” after the shooting.
Toledo police, Lucas County Sheriff units, Ohio State Highway Patrol and Toledo Fire and Rescue Department units responded to the scene.
