dpCLEVELAND — Severe weather is making its way through Northeast Ohio right now — and we’re streaming live coverage with the latest updates in the video at the top of this story.
The following counties are under a Severe Thunderstorm Warning until 9:15 a.m. today:
The NWS says it was shortly before 8 a.m. when “severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Western Vermilion to Wakeman, moving east at 45 mph.”
You can expect strong wind gusts up to 60 mph with potential power outages in connection with this storm system, according to NWS.
“Large hail, damaging wind, and continuous cloud to ground lightning are occurring with these storms,” according to the alert from NWS. “Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature’s leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.”
