No, this is not a drill, and yes, you can consider this your official warning that your group chat will soon become insufferable. Images that supposedly show the designs from the new Pokémon x Owala collab at Target have leaked online. First on Reddit (of course), then Facebook, then everywhere else. And if the leaks are real (it seems like they are?), we are all about to go to war over Stanleys. Sorry, Owalas. We know the difference now. We’ve been through a lot together.

The lineup, per a leaked marketing photo posted to Facebook, includes five FreeSip water bottle designs: a Starter Trio design featuring Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle, plus dedicated designs for Charizard, Pikachu, Gengar, and Eevee.
One image posted in this Reddit thread appears to be a close-up shot of the Charizard bottle still bagged, with printed instructions that read “Remove Before Display”. This tells you two things: one, a Target employee somewhere is very tired, and two, this collection may already be trickling into stores ahead of the official September 16, 2026 release. A separate photo in the same thread of the Starter Trio design seemingly being pulled straight from a store shelf only adds fuel to the theory that some Target stores are already stocked and merely waiting for the green light.
As one would expect, the people discussing the leaked designs online are already bracing for a fight. “These are going to be scalped to shit,” one Reddit user wrote. “I hear people are in line for this already,” another joked. If you’ve ever watched a Stanley tumbler restock devolve into a full-on contact sport, you already know how this goes. Brace yourselves.
While the official announcement of the collection on Target’s homepage is legit, none of the designs have been confirmed. It appears the photos circulating online were taken and leaked by Target employees, but we don’t know any confirmed details about the new designs right now. But if the internet’s track record of correctly sniffing out a Target collab drop is any indication, mark your calendars for the 16th, set a reminder, and maybe get to your local Target a few hours before they open. This drop is sure to be a doozy.
