Sonia Bompastor has made two changes to her Chelsea side for our Women’s Champions League match against Lyon.
After our hard-earned 1-0 victory over Arsenal on Sunday, the Blues headed out to France, where Bompastor will face her former side.
The head coach has brought defender Veerle Buurman into the starting XI in place of Katie McCabe, while Sjoeke Nusken replaces Lauren James.
It’s been an excellent week for Chelsea Academy graduate Lexi Potter, who starts once again next to Keira Walsh in midfield. After drawing the headlines for her excellent performance against the Gunners, the Chelsea Academy graduate was called up to the senior England side for the first time on Tuesday.
Lucy Bronze, Kadeisha Buchanan, Ellie Carpenter and Melvine Malard all start against their former side.
