dpMegan Fox caused a stir on social media once again. Letterboxd recently published a video in which the actress appears alongside director Karyn Kusama recommending some of their favorite movies, but as soon as the clip began circulating, much of the commentary focused on Fox’s physical appearance.
The meeting took place in October 2025, although Letterboxd released the video in October 2026. Fox and Kusama took part together in a special screening of Jennifer”s Body at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles, where they also took the opportunity to record the platform’s Four Favorites section.
Megan Fox’s appearance sparks comments again
In the video, Fox mentions titles such as Braveheart, The Lion King, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II and the Harry Potter saga. However, the conversation about her recommendations was quickly overshadowed by messages about her face.
Several users claimed that the actress looked “unrecognizable” and speculation about possible cosmetic procedures resurfaced. So much so that Letterboxd ended up disabling comments on the Instagram post.

The term “unrecognizable” appears frequently whenever a celebrity looks different in a public appearance. In many cases, social media quickly links those changes to cosmetic surgery, although a different appearance can also be due to makeup, hairstyle, lighting, or weight fluctuations.
Fox’s supporters also came to her defense. Several pointed out that, when the video was filmed, the actress had given birth to her fourth child just eight months earlier and noted that weight changes after pregnancy are completely normal. Others directly criticized the messages about her body and questioned why her appearance was being judged during the postpartum period.
“She just had a baby,” was one of the arguments repeated among those who defended the actress. Other users insisted that comparing her body to photos from previous years or criticizing her for having gained weight was unnecessary.
It is not the first time that the actress’s appearance has sparked a similar discussion. After the 2024 Super Bowl, a photograph of Fox with Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce and Machine Gun Kelly once again prompted comments about an alleged change in her face. Images of the four together at a party in Las Vegas circulated widely. Fox later responded with other photographs from that night and attributed part of the difference some users pointed out to the lighting and the quality of the images.
Fox also decided to speak publicly about the cosmetic procedures she did undergo. During an interview with Call Her Daddy in 2024, she said that she had a rhinoplasty when she was in her early 20s, as well as breast procedures, and acknowledged having used Botox and fillers. At the same time, she denied other enhancements that had been attributed to her for years.
‘”I don’t understand what the point is of shaming people for having things done. It’s a very strange thing to shame someone for. People think I’ve had much more done than I actually have”, she explained during that conversation.’
The pressure surrounding her appearance is not a new issue for Fox either. In 2023, during an interview, she revealed that she has body dysmorphia and explained how that condition affects the way she perceives her own image.
‘“I never see myself the way other people see me”, she said at the time. Fox explained that her insecurities about her body began when she was very young and that learning to accept herself has been an ongoing process.’
The release of the video also coincides with a new campaign starring Fox. On October 1, the actress became the face of Ro Sparks, a prescription treatment for erectile dysfunction from the company Ro. In the commercial, she appears in a tight red suit and personifies the medication itself while explaining its features with humor and double entendres.
Fox assured that the project seemed made for her. “Personally, I feel that maybe I was born for this,” said the actress, who explained that she accepted the campaign with the intention of removing some of the stigma from the conversation about erectile dysfunction and addressing the topic in a lighter way.
The new controversy comes from some images that, despite being published now, are around a year old. Fox and Kusama had met to talk about Jennifer”s Body, the 2009 film that over time became a cult title. But the publication of the video ended up reopening a much more familiar discussion surrounding Megan Fox: that of her appearance.
