McDonald’s is teaming up with Disney for the return of its beloved Boo Buckets Happy Meal, while supplies last, at participating locations nationwide.
WASHINGTON — Cruella de Vil, Jafar, Maleficent, Scar and Ursula are coming to Happy Meals this Halloween season.
Beginning Tuesday, Oct. 20, McDonald’s is teaming up with Disney to bring back its beloved Boo Buckets Happy Meal, while supplies last, at participating locations nationwide.
“Each bucket includes a villain-inspired lid and stickers featuring iconic characters and details true fans will recognize,” McDonald’s said in a news release.
The special Halloween buckets first debuted in 1986, returning periodically with new designs and colors. The original 1986 buckets — McPunk’n, McBoo and McGoblin — all came in orange with different jack-o-lantern and monster faces. The green, white and orange color variations followed in 1989.
After disappearing from menus in 2016, the buckets returned in 2022 and have been available each Halloween season since.
In 2025, the buckets featured the classic Ghost, Pumpkin and Goblin buckets, as well as two new characters: Cat and Zombie.
