Linda Nosková has DONE IT! The No. 9 seed is into the Wimbledon quarterfinal for the first time in her career, dispatching Madison Keys in straight sets.
As it got to a tiebreak, it was Keys’ aggressiveness that let her down. She took too many chances resulting in unforced errors that gave Nosková an edge.
Keys’ serve, one of her primary shots in her game, was ineffective in the tiebreak, leading to two double faults.
For Nosková, she now will play Elise Mertens (25) in the quarterfinal, the first meeting between both players.
