Interstate 71 lanes reopen after significant flooding during rush hour
NORWOOD, Ohio —
Lanes of Interstate 71 reopened on Friday night, hours after significant flooding impacted the highway during rush hour traffic.
The flooding began around 5:30 p.m., with cars seen stuck in water near Robertson Avenue and near Ridge Avenue on the interstate.
Officials closed the road for hours while ensuring that the road was clear from water, and anyone who needed help was able to receive it.
Busy areas of Interstate 71 were closed on Friday, including near Ridge Avenue, and parts of Oakley, Madisonville and Pleasant Ridge.
