Building the 2027 Big Board: The Interior Linemen Worth Watching This Fall

Welcome back to The McShay Report. Today, we’re staying in the trenches and sharing notes on our top interior defensive linemen and offensive linemen in the 2027 draft class.

We’ll start with the top three interior defensive linemen on my board: Ole Miss’s Will Echoles and Oregon teammates A’Mauri Washington and Bear Alexander. They’re three very different prospects—Echoles is the most complete, Washington might have the highest ceiling, and Alexander brings serious power—but all three have a chance to play their way into the first-round conversation.

Then Steve Muench joins us to flip over to the offensive line. We’re breaking down why Iowa’s Kade Pieper is worthy of a top-20 grade, where Ohio State’s Austin Siereveld fits best in the NFL, and another versatile Big Ten lineman we’ll be studying closely this fall.
