Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver are smiling together with three of their four children in a new photo their daughter Katherine Schwarzenegger shared on Instagram.
Katherine, 36, shared a carousel of photos to Instagram on Wednesday, Sept. 9, that included several photos of her three children, whom she shares with husband Chris Pratt. In the second slide of her post, though, she shared a photo of herself and her siblings Patrick, 32, and Christina, 35, posing with father Arnold, 79, and Shriver, 70, during what appeared to be a celebratory family dinner.
“Summer… you were good to us! Back to reality 🤪,” Katherine wrote in the caption to her post. While it’s unclear exactly what event the family photo was from, Arnold turned 79 back on July 30.
Shriver and Arnold originally met in 1977 and were married between 1986 and 2011. The former couple, who have remained friendly in the decade-plus since Shriver filed for divorce from the Terminator star, also share son Christopher, 28. (Arnold is also a father to son Joseph Baena, 28, whom he shares with former housekeeper Mildred Patricia Baena.) They finalized their divorce in December 2021, some 10 years after Shriver first filed.

Shriver and Arnold’s divorce followed the actor and former California governor’s public acknowledgment two months earlier that he had fathered youngest son Joseph. “It’s not like we had a feud. We didn’t have a fight. It’s just my f— up, right? She said, ‘Okay, this is what it is,’ and then she decided to make a split, so it was her decision,” Arnold told PEOPLE of their divorce in 2023. “But the fact is, we always made it very clear that the kids should not suffer because of that.”
“So everything is kind of just as if we’re together but we have separate lives, and she has her things, her relationship, I have mine,” Arnold told PEOPLE at the time. “But we always communicate about the kids, about the holidays, about birthday parties and Mother’s Day parties and Christmas. My chapter with Maria will continue on forever. Even though it’s a different relationship, there’s no reason for me to feel anything other than love for her.”

In a 2025 interview with PEOPLE, Shriver stated that she and Arnold “are in a good place” with each other. “We laugh a lot about our kids, our grandkids, ourselves, and we are proud of the fact that we are still in conversation,” she shared at the time. “For almost 50 years!”
