Fans were up in arms about Jimmy Kimmel Live! star Guillermo Rodriguez getting a low score for his Paso Doble on the September 22 episode.
The TV star spoke out ahead of the performance about how he’s been feeling about DWTS.
Dancing With the Stars fans have something to say to the judges about Guillermo Rodriguez.
Week 2 of season 35 aired on September 22, with the celebrity cast dancing to popular social media songs for Viral Hits Night. The Jimmy Kimmel Live! comic performed a Paso Doble to “Where Have You Been” by Rihanna, with his partner, reigning champion Witney Carson.
While fans were amazed by what Guillermo and Witney accomplished for their Paso Doble, judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough, and Bruno Tonioli gave him a score of 12 out of 30 for the performance.
As soon as fans saw Guillermo’s score compared to other celebs, they were furious on social media.
“4’s is insane. He did better than Giada. He improved so much too???” one person exclaimed on Instagram, referencing how celebrity Giada De Laurentiis got the same score and was eliminated at the end of the episode. “Deserved better scores; he gave that his ALL 😭 so much improvement!!!!” another cried out. “I don’t say this lightly… but he was UNDERSCORED !!!!!” a different follower added.
Despite the low score, Guillermo and Witney are safe to perform during Yacht Rock Night on September 29. What’s more, the duo checked in on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to share their thoughts about this week.
“I feel great, Jimmy,” he told host Jimmy Kimmel in a clip posted on Instagram. “I feel fantastic!”
