Probable starting pitchers and start times: LHP Parker Messick (9-8, 2.54) vs. RHP George Klassen (2-1, 3.74) Monday at 9:38 p.m.; RHP Gavin Williams (12-7, 3.72) vs. RHP Walbert Urena (8-9, 2.80) Tuesday at 9:38 p.m. and LHP Joey Cantillo (9-7, 3.73) vs. LHP Grayson Rodriguez (4-5, 6.61) Wednesday at 4:07 p.m.
Series: The Guardians split six games with the Angels last year. Cleveland leads overall, 345-341.
Guardians update (64-66): They took a three-game winning streak into Sunday’s series finale against the Rockies. Jose Ramirez hit .389 (7 for 18) with five homers and seven RBI last season against the Angels, while Steven Kwan hit .348 (8 for 23). Williams went 1-0 with a 1.86 ERA in two starts against Angels in 2025. This will be Jo Adell’s homecoming after the Guardians acquired him from the Angels on Aug. 3.
Angels update (52-78): They had won six of their last 10 games going into their series finale with Texas on Sunday. Zach Neto leads the Angels with 21 homers and 61 RBI. Mike Trout hit .381 (9 for 22) with two homers and five RBI against the Guardians last year. Jorge Soler added three homers and six RBI against the Guardians.
