Welcome to the underworld! Hadestown will welcome a new Broadway principal cast at the Walter Kerr Theatre starting September 1.
The new Hadestown Broadway cast will be led by pop-rock musician Kayko as Orpheus, Yellowjackets star Jasmin Savoy Brown as Eurydice, two-time Tony Award winner Norbert Leo Butz (Catch Me If You Can, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Wicked) as Hermes, Tony nominee Amber Iman (Lempicka, Goddess) as Persephone, and Geno Segers (Disney XD’s Pair of Kings) as Hades.
They succeed current cast members John-Michael Lyles as Orpheus, Jordan Tyson as Eurydice, Tony and Grammy Award winner J. Harrison Ghee as Hermes, Grammy winner Gaby Moreno as Persephone, SAG Award winner Gary Dourdan as Hades, all of whom depart August 30. Kelly Belarmino, KC Dela Cruz, and Khori Michelle Petinaud continue as the Fates.
Created by Anaïs Mitchell and directed by Rachel Chavkin, Hadestown uses folk and jazz music to tell the tragic love story of young lovers Orpheus and Eurydice from Greek mythology. The eight-time Tony-winning musical has run on Broadway since 2019.
