Jessica Chastain Chopped Her Hair Into a Jaw-Grazing Copper Bob for Taylor Swift’s Wedding Weekend

There are haircuts—seasonal trims and routine refreshes—that earn a quick “I love your new hair.” Then there are full-blown bob transformations, the kind that deserve a permanent place in the beauty history books. Jessica Chastain’s latest Instagram debut falls firmly into the latter camp.

Over the weekend, the actress unveiled her shortest bob yet, pairing the glossy, 1920s-inspired cut with the caption, “I don’t know about you…but I’m feeling 1922.” The reveal happened during Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding weekend, and since Jessica is a close friend of the pop star, it’s safe to assume this glamorous style made an appearance at the festivities.

Gone are the tumbling Rapunzel lengths. In their place is a sculpted copper bob that grazes the jaw, complete with a soft bend and flipped-under ends that create a voluminous bell shape. The vintage-inspired cut delivers just the right amount of body, texture, and Old Hollywood glamour—and it’s easily one of her chicest hair transformations to date.

For context, here’s a look at the star’s signature lengths:

And here is the new bell bob in question:

Marital celebrations aside, this haircut is also the ultimate summer refresh. A bob is wonderfully low-maintenance compared to long lengths, and when temperatures climb, having layers of hair draping over your shoulders and down the back is an overstated luxury. Chic? Sure. Practical? Not so much.

The bob, however, allows for maximized breathability and minimal discomfort, which is a win-win if you ask us!

Now, it’s worth noting that this isn’t Jessica’s first love affair with a bob; she first dipped her toe into short hair territory back in April, before seemingly lengthening things in May with a blonde lob while filming Minivan.

As it turns out, the copper bob has returned with ear-skimming vengeance. Now, it’s shorter, chicer, and altogether perfect for summer 2026. So, if you’re thinking about making the chop for the warm weather, let the bell bob be your latest encouragement.
