While there are no official designations for this practice, the Bengals did get some good news. After missing the previous two games, veteran safety Kyle Dugger was able to practice Monday for the first time since Week 3. That would be a nice boost for a defense that needs more consistency at safety.
Whether it’s Bryan Cook being limited by injuries or Jordan Battle missing tackle after tackle, Dugger’s presence would add stability at this position, so hopefully he can go this week at Baltimore.
One other note: Defensive end Cashius Howell missed Monday’s practice due to an illness. Howell had a hot start to his rookie season with 10 pressures in Weeks 2-3, according to Pro Football Focus, but he’s cooled off a bit with just one pressure over the last two games.
