dpKyle Richards celebrated the anniversary of the Real Housewives franchise as a Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th cast member. Her estranged husband, Mauricio Umansky, interrupted that with a text on their wedding, and it brought her to tears.
A preview of August 16’s episode shows Richards, 57, not joining the other women to say good morning. She stood alone in tears and Vicki Gunvalson found her.
“I’m just having a moment,” Richards told Gunvalson, 64. “Today’s my 30-year anniversary. It makes me sad. He sent me a text that sent me off.”
Umansky told her that their anniversary is a “hard day” and he loved her. “He said, ‘I don’t know how we got here’,” Richards claimed. “That’s what he said. “I thought we were stronger than that.”
Gunvalson agreed that she thought they were a strong couple. The conversation reminded the Orange County alum of her divorce from Donn Gunvalson and told the sad cast member it doesn’t get better.

“That’s what happened to Donn and I. I was out and about, and you grow apart,” she said. Gunvalson revealed that she wished someone had talked her out of divorcing him. The original cast member was fired from the show in 2020 after 14 years.
“I was caught in this, being on a reality show and traveling, and nobody told me like, ‘Shape up, Vicki. This TV life that you’re living is temporary,'” she said in a confessional.
Richards and the real estate broker announced their separation after 27 years of marriage in July 2023. The actress said she would give marriage another try in the future.
“I hope to get married again one day,” she told PEOPLE. “I mean, listen, I’m someone who really enjoys being married. So I won’t be single my whole life.”
