TEN THINGS TO KNOW

1. Kansas City has won its first five meetings with Bay FC in the all-time series. The Current is looking to become the fifth team in NWSL history to win each of their first six regular season meetings against a single opponent.

2. The Current has out-scored Bay 14-4 in the previous five regular season meetings, including 9-3 at CPKC Stadium.

3. Forward Temwa Chawinga has scored in each of her first four matches vs. Bay FC, totaling five goals. The only player in NWSL history to score in their first five league matches against a single opponent is Alex Morgan vs. Washington (2013-15).

4. The last meeting between the two sides was on Sept. 4 in San Jose, Calif., resulting in a 2-1 Current victory. Defender Izzy Rodriguez scored an Olimpico in the 11th minute before midfielder Rocky Rodríguez tallied the game-winner in the 89th minute.

5. Kansas City – the only team without a loss at home this year – is on an active home unbeaten run of 30 consecutive regular season matches at CPKC Stadium (23-0-7), extending its NWSL record.

6. The Current has trailed in eight regular season home matches this season, but has battled back to win four and draw four. Those 16 points gained from losing positions at home are the most in NWSL history (Washington is second with 12 points in 2014).

7. Forward Haley Hopkins was named the NWSL Player of the Week in Week 23 after her first career NWSL hat trick on Sept. 26 vs. Denver. She has scored eight goals this year, surpassing the five regular season goals she scored in her first three professional seasons combined.

8. Chawinga recorded a goal and an assist on Sept. 26, the seventh time in her career she has achieved the feat in the same regular season match. EA Sports FC had her as its highest-rated player globally – men or women – last week with a rating of 90.

9. Last weekend, midfielder Vanessa DiBernardo recorded her first assist since returning from maternity leave in July. She moved into sole possession of No. 2 all-time in NWSL history with 32 career regular season assists.

10. Kansas City will host a super‑charged matchday experience — One Current 2026: Bigger Home. Bigger Future. — that will transform CPKC Stadium and Current Landing into the largest gathering of 18,000 Current fans in club history on Sunday, Oct. 25, for the regular season finale.
