COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – South Carolina will once again look to get their first SEC win with another ranked matchup against No. 24 Kentucky.

No. 24 Kentucky at South Carolina

The story so far
South Carolina has dropped their first two conference games, the most recent being a 49-18 defeat at No. 7 Alabama. The Gamecocks will also be without defensive star Dylan Stewart after he was suspended for throwing a punch during the game.
Kentucky enters Saturday at 3-1 and newly-ranked, having won two straight games against Texas A&M and South Alabama. The Wildcats’ only loss was a 45-17 defeat at the hands of Alabama on Sept. 12.

Series history
Saturday will be the 37th all-time meeting between the Gamecocks and Wildcats. South Carolina leads the series 22-13-1 against its former SEC East foe. The Gamecocks have also won four straight games in the series, dating back to 2022.
