Bambu Lab will launch the new H3C on November 3, 2026, at 9 AM EST (3 PM CET, 10 PM China Standard Time). The H3C is a tool changer 3D printer with nine tools built into a single machine. VoxelMatters premiered the official video teaser for the printer on October 23. The company is promoting the H3C with the taglines “Tool Changer, Game Changer” and “A New Tech to Swap,” which point to a new tool-swapping mechanism at the core of the system.
Nine tools would put the H3C well ahead of other tool changers on the desktop and prosumer market. The Prusa XL takes up to five toolheads, and the Snapmaker U1 has four. A larger tool count lets a printer switch between materials, colors and nozzle configurations without the purge waste and slow color changes of single-nozzle multimaterial systems. Those drawbacks have been the main trade-off of filament-switching units like Bambu Lab’s own AMS.
The H3C is the next step in a fast product cadence for the Shenzhen-based manufacturer. Bambu Lab was founded in 2020 by a team of engineers from the consumer drone industry. Its first product was the X1 series, launched through a record-breaking Kickstarter campaign in 2022. The P1 and A1 families brought high-speed, multicolor printing to lower price points, and the H2 series moved the company into larger-format, multi-function systems in 2025. The H3C extends that series into tool changing, a segment where Bambu Lab’s scale and pricing could put strong pressure on existing players.
VoxelMatters will cover the November 3 launch in full, including technical specifications, the tool-change mechanism, pricing and availability.
