dpRide or Die on Prime Video is the friendship-focused spy thriller of the summer
You think you know everything about your best friend, but do you really? That’s the question at the center of the Prime Video show, Ride or Die. The show stars Octavia Spencer and Hannah Waddingham as two best friends who end up on the run in Europe after Waddingham’s character turns out to be an international assassin. What a twist!
Ride or Die release date July 15, 2026 on Prime Video. Spencer and Waddingham are joined by Bill Nighy and Ed Skrein in the cast. You can take a look at the trailer below.
Octavia Spencer’s character’s reaction to having to take the driver’s wheel is exactly the same reaction I would have if I ever had to drive on the other side of the road, by the way. Now, I hope this isn’t the last we see of Octavia Spencer in the spy genre. The world could always use more Octavia Spencer (when will the MCU bring her back to reprise her role from the original Raimi Spider-Man film?).
