dpKENNEWICK, Wash. — The Washington State Patrol has issued an AMBER Alert for a 4-year-old girl who authorities say was forcibly taken Saturday morning in Kennewick.
The child, Grace Susmilch, was reportedly taken by 41-year-old Matthew Susmilch from the South Conway Place area at about 10:45 a.m. Saturday, according to the alert issued on behalf of the Kennewick Police Department.
Grace’s disappearance poses a credible threat to her health and safety, investigators said.
Grace is described as 3 feet 4 inches tall, weighing 40 pounds, with blonde hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing white elastic shorts.
Matthew Susmilch is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing 209 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
His clothing is unknown. He has tattoos on his neck, both arms, chest, back, and both legs, authorities said.
The suspect’s vehicle is unknown at this time, police said.
Anyone who sees Grace or Matthew Susmilch is urged to call 911 immediately.
