The WTA Beijing tournament, also known as the China Open, begins. This fall 1,000-point tournament forms the heart of the WTA Asian swing at season’s end. Players who might not have done well at the US Open have extra incentive to succeed in China as the season winds down, with the WTA Finals in Indian Wells a little more than a month away. Many stories will follow from this tournament, but the biggest news is the absences in China. Notably, Amanda Anisimova, Jessica Pegula, and Marta Kostyuk have withdrawn from the China Open. Alexandra Eala has skipped the event and is seeking a fine waiver so she can play in the Asian Games. These four high-profile players skipping the tournament will open up opportunities for other players. Let’s see who takes advantage over the next week and a half. WTA Beijing promises to be as unpredictable as most of the 2026 WTA season. LWOS has our best bets for three matches. Post your best bets and thoughts in the comments.
WTA Beijing
Vekic – Swiatek: 23:00 EST
H2H: 0-4
Iga Swiatek has struggled for much of 2026. Yet, due to her reputation, she keeps getting priced as a gigantic betting market favorite. She is 4-0 in the head-to-head matchup against Donna Vekic as the two players prepare for their WTA Beijing match. However, none of those four matches occurred in the past few years. The most recent meeting between them is 2023, so how much the head-to-head matters is up for debate. Of greater importance is the fact that Swiatek was priced as such a giant favorite against Xinyu Gao in the previous round that a Swiatek -6.5 games bet wouldn’t have offered much of a return on investment. You would have needed to go -7.5 games to get a reasonable price. Swiatek could not cover that spread, winning 12 games to 5 in a 6-2, 6-3 match. What do the markets say about this match against Vekic?
Best Bet to Make
The WTA Beijing betting angle is similar to the Gao match for Swiatek. You would need to go Swiatek -5.5 games to get a decent price (1.68). Vekic is a better player than Gao, though, so that feels risky. Even though Swiatek should definitely win the match (straight sets is set at 1.42, also not great odds), we recommend betting on the underdog against the spread as our recommended standalone wager.
That being said, betting on Vekic +6.5 games is a value bet for sure.

Bouzkova – Zheng: 00:30 EST
H2H: 0-0
This WTA Beijing match should be good. Marie Bouzkova is 4-1 in her last five matches, and the only loss in those five is against Iga Swiatek. Qinwen Zheng is 3-2 in her last five matches, and the only losses in those five are against Elena Rybakina and Jasmine Paolini. You have two good players playing well. They are losing only to top-20 opponents. The match is in China, where Zheng is playing in front of a home crowd. That probably explains why Zheng is the betting market favorite.
Best Bet to Make
It is hard to bet against Qinwen Zheng in the WTA Beijing tournament. She just beat Anna Kalinskaya, a quality result. She is playing confident tennis after her strong month of September. You could go with over 2.5 sets since Bouzkova is also playing well, but Zheng ultimately winning feels like the safest bet to make at a good price.
That being said, betting on Zheng winning is a value bet for sure.

Jovic – Rakhimova: 00:30 EST
H2H: 2-0
This WTA Beijing match is a rematch of a battle earlier this year in Dubai. Jovic won by the very unusual scoreline of 6-1, 1-6, 6-1. It’s not often you see three 6-1 sets in a match that goes the maximum number of sets. Jovic needed three sets to beat Harriet Dart in her previous Beijing match. Kamilla Rakhimova upset Leylah Fernandez in her previous Beijing match. So, Rakhimova enters with better form. Will that matter? Jovic is 2-0 head-to-head.
Best Bet to Make
Jovic should certainly win this WTA Beijing match, but will she win by a large margin? The Dubai match featured a five-game margin for Jovic, but with three 6-1 sets. This match probably will have a 6-4 or 7-5 set, and if it does, that points to Rakhimova covering the spread. Go there for your standalone wager.
That being said, betting on Rakhimova +5.5 games is a value bet for sure.
