dpThe Atlanta Braves won arguably the most dramatic game of the season last night that resulted in a season tiebreaker against the Philadelphia Phillies and moved the division lead to five games with only four games left between the two team. The Phillies’ destiny is no longer in their own hands to win the NLE.
That being said, there is still enough baseball left that any cushion the Braves can create would be huge in their chances for taking back the NLE crown and potentially earn a first round bye in the playoffs via a two seed.
Grant Holmes did well in his last day game where he gave up zero runs last week, but he also gave up six earned runs in the start before that. Jesús Luzardo has been fantastic this year. The Braves need to tire him out because getting to the bullpen seems to be the key to the game.
