dpEmmanuel Ogbah is returning to a familiar team in time for the start of the preseason. The veteran defensive end has agreed to a one-year deal with the Chiefs, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports.
Ogbah played in Kansas City during the 2020 campaign. He helped the Chiefs win a Super Bowl that year before embarking on a lengthy tenure in Miami. Ogbah landed a free agent deal with the Jaguars last April, but he has spent a much longer period on the open market in 2026.
After playing out the first three years of his rookie contract in Cleveland, Ogbah was traded to the Chiefs. During his walk year, the former second-round pick made 10 appearances and four starts, recording 5.5 sacks along the way. As a free agent, Ogbah initially joined the Dolphins on a two-year pact. That was followed by a considerable raise, with a four-year Miami deal worth an average of $16.35MM per season being finalized in 2022.
