dpMichelle Pfeiffer is done with movie roles.
The popular actress revealed she’s no longer interested in the big screen after her most recent stint in TV acting.
The Golden Globe winning actress has spent the last year working on the TV shows Apple TV’s “Margo’s Got Money Troubles” and Paramount Plus’ “The Madison” — the former of which she got to work on with her husband, David E. Kelley.
“I never want to star in another movie, I swear to God,” Pfeiffer said during an Apple TV panel on Aug. 2, per The Hollywood Reporter. “I only want to do ensemble pieces. It’s so much more fun, I love it so much.”
She added: “I’ve just been so bowled over by the female performances on television and honestly,” Pfeiffer continued, “They’re just really owning TV.”
Regarding “Margo’s Got Money Troubles,” she explained: “I love how complicated and flawed all these characters are, and it really reminds me of that famous Robin Williams quote where he says, ‘Remember that everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about, and be kind.’”
Pfeiffer continued, “That kind of, for me, sums up the show and the message of the show, and I’m really proud to be a part of it.”
Pfeiffer played Shayanne Millet in the comedy drama, which features a stacked cast including Elle Fanning in the titular role, Nicole Kidman, and Nick Offerman. The series follows Margo (Fanning), a young college dropout and new mother facing heavy bills after having a baby with her former college professor.
Meanwhile, in “The Madison,” Pfeiffer played Stacy Clyburn. The six-episode series, which premiered on Mar. 14, follows a grieving New York City family relocating to Montana’s Madison River Valley.
