CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Guardians open a three-game series against the Mets on Tuesday night at Progressive Field looking to build on a trade deadline that dramatically reshaped their roster and keep pace in the American League Wild Card race.
The Guardians have struggled to score consistently this season but hope the additions of Jo Adell, Nathaniel Lowe and Foster Griffin will provide a spark over the season’s final two months.
New York (47-66), meanwhile, arrives after selling at the deadline and will lean on veteran shortstop Francisco Lindor to lead a lineup that is evaluating several younger players during the stretch run. First pitch is scheduled for 6:40 p.m. at Progressive Field..
