dpThe Minnesota Timberwolves have started the 2026-27 season with a 3-0 record, and their splashy summer addition, LaMelo Ball, is feeling good.
“I feel like I’m always feeling myself,” he told reporters following Sunday’s 117-94 win over the Toronto Raptors. “As long as we winning, I’m feeling myself more.”
The Wolves have been hot to start the season, winning all three games by 20 points or more. They’ve scored at least 115 points in all three contests and held their opponents to under 95 points twice. And Ball has added some offensive flair and sizzle to a team that was already fantastic on the defensive end.
For the season, he’s averaging 16 points and 6.3 assists per game, operating as a solid sidekick for Anthony Edwards (28.7 PPG). When Ball and Edwards share the floor, the Wolves have an absurd net rating of plus-52.4, per NBA.com.
It’s obviously a small sample size. But any concerns about the new-look Wolves needing time to jell have very quickly been extinguished. The team already looks like a legitimate contender in the West.
